Families
I photograph families in the places that suit them best — from Gullane Beach and North Berwick on the coast, to Callander Park and Dumyat Hill near Falkirk, to the grounds of Stirling University, or in the comfort of your own home. Sessions are relaxed and unposed, covering Stirling, Falkirk, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the wider Central Scotland area.
Family life doesn't stay still for long, and most of it happens in the in-between moments — not the ones you'd normally think to photograph. That's what I'm there for. No stiff poses, no forcing smiles, no stress if a toddler won't cooperate. Just an hour or so of your family being yourselves, so you end up with photos of what this exact stage of your life actually looked like, not a version of it.
With 14 years photographing families, I've learned that the best images come from letting things happen rather than overly directing them — which usually means the session feels more like a walk with a friend than a photoshoot.
